In our society, education and work are believed to be prestigious and necessary. Perhaps that is why Ukraine has the largest per capita share of people with a university degree compared to the European average. Based on the 2001 Population Census, in 12 years the share of people who obtained a university degree had increased in Ukraine by 34.9 %. Despite all of its disadvantages, the Soviet education system in its past was second only to the British system in its ability to educate and raise talents. Although the instability of the first years of Ukraine’s independence had a very negative impact on its education system, changes that have occurred in the last several years have begun to renew the fame of Ukrainian education, and especially business education. Representatives of international businesses who work in Ukraine also believe that the skills of their Ukrainian staff are high. |
