Studying of foreign citizens in Ukraine

The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine published the general provisions concerning training in the country of foreign citizens.

Educational activities of higher educational institutions of Ukraine for training of foreign citizens are carried out only on the basis of licenses of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

Types of educational activity for training of foreign citizens:

1. Preparation for receipt in higher educational institutions of Ukraine (preparatory office). Training term – 10 months.

Into the program of preparatory office enters: training to Russian or Ukrainian; profound studying of base disciplines of comprehensive school.

2. Preparation in the accredited directions and specialties of educational and qualifying levels: Bachelor, Expert, Master, PhD.

Training language – as a rule, Russian, Ukrainian or English, on a choice of the student. Foreign citizens are enlisted in higher educational institutions by results of interview and on the basis of the signed contract.

The hostel is provided to the foreign citizens enlisted on training.

The basis for registration of the entry visa of type D for study in Ukraine is the Invitation from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, given out by a higher educational institution in which the foreign citizen plans to be trained.

I would like to say to my countrymen who are contemplating study in Ukraine that I study here in Russian and communicate in Russian as well. As for Ukrainian, it is a friendly and understandable language. I can already speak it a little. It’s cool!
